We agree on most things tykester and there was a time when I'd have done just about anything not to miss a home game but I'd ask you this.
Would you rather miss a couple of games to force some beneficial change in the way the club is run? Or would you rather attend a couple of routine defeats and things carry on as they are?

Like many have said, they've already got the money for this season, a few absentees won't make a difference financially, sure it'll highlight the public opinion but they don't care about that.
It's next season when a boycott could have a real effect.

Tbh, any sort of boycott needs to be organised like with Blackpool.

I'm hoping that they've realised already the strength of feeling on various issues and no action such as stay aways would be necessary. Nevertheless, I'm sure the presence of a lot of empty seats at some point this season would concentrate their minds on the ramifications for next season if they don't act.
in the meantime we have a disintegrating West Stand and perimeter wall, a ground that is looking increasingly scruffy and amateurish, a failing team and a complete lack of cohesion between the three bodies who hold the future of the club in their hands.

It's a good question but these owners already have my money and it's the team that needs us at a time like this. I'm as unhappy as the rest of us but missing a few games won't change things I.M.O.

To be honest I don't think fans are capable of concerted action. I do believe that, should we reach the point, the only thing to influence the board is a denial of funds. Let's hope the need doesn't arise.

I sincerely hope the team can give a much improved performance and get a win today. Nothing in the current situation is their fault.

But I won't be there. I've had enough, football isn't a sport any more, not just at Barnsley but at most other clubs too. The club openly stated that last year's success on the pitch was bad for business - a chilling, devastating comment which has alienated me and (I suspect) several others.

I can't be arsed to get into a big debate about it, that would be a waste of time. Good luck to the lads on the pitch, and I hope the fans enjoy a good game and a win.

Our biggest home game of the season with it being a local derby against the biggest rivals in our league and you can bet Conman and the rest of his pals won't turn up.

All boils down to personal choice. I’m not going because I don’t want another weekend ruined by incompetence. I can take defeat, but I don’t want to sit in a toxic atmosphere. Even a victory wouldn’t gloss over everything that is wrong with the club at the moment.

I am going & will get behind the lads but I am currently sat at home with awful gut feeling like I get just before going to the dentists, if it wasn"t for going with my Grandkids I would not go, shunting me from the West stand to the opposite corner flag has well & truly killed my pig, never ever felt so bad about my club .

Don't cry for Barnsley FC, Mr thetykester
    The truth is
    We never left her
    All through our dark days
    And mad existence
    We kept our promise
    Won't keep our distance.
    And as for Conway
    And as for Lee
    We never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world
    They were all we desired
    They are illusions
    They're not
The solutions they promise to be
The answer was here all the time
    We love Oakwell
    And know Oakwell loves us
Don't cry for Barnsley FC, Mr thetykester
