Nigel Adkins Ian Holloway Brian McDermott Terry Butcher Phil Brown Sol Campbell Simon Davey Jury's out on Nigel Spackman and Carlton Palmer
You need to marry a coach to the players on your books. Adkins when at Southampton inherited a lot of technically gifted young players.
Would have loved us to approach Ryan Lowe weeks ago but he'd probably laugh his nuts off now if we did.
I’d go and drive Nigel Adkins here from wherever he is in the country, the world even, if I thought he was replacing Schopp.
Lowe was a blindingly obvious candidate. Still could be persuaded but we will go for another random if MS goes
Ian Evatt, used to working in tough circumstances, with passionate and disgruntled fan base. Done a cracking job wherever he's been, knows the local landscape. Knows how to defend from the front, and would revel in the siege mentally. However with these owners I wouldn't want to get a shot at Championship football and be in an organisation which is all over the place.
He got 3 wins and 4 draws in 15 so barring a miracle in the next two games, Schopp isn't even likely to match that.
And what should arguably be a fitter squad given Schopp started at the beginning of the season and Morais had the last 15 games of that season. Not saying Schopp is responsible for the squad's fitness issues.
Not be much of a decision for him would it? Plymouth top of L1 looking good for promotion or Barnsley in the Championship looking nailed on for the drop? Plus he'd be working for joke owners with both hands tied behind his back.
I like the cut of the jib of that Weaver bloke at Harrogate, but a Championship battle might not be right for him this soon.
My question would be.. why leave Plymouth? Top of L1 to come here, bottom of champ. (baring Derby points deduction). Club on the crest.. big City in Devon new ground large fan base and swop that for here..na. We could never atract or would pay and go for anyone like that.. If Schopp goes.. it will be someone from the Paul Conway Austrian school of excellence... Or someone here out of work and desperate to get back in.. like Alex Neil I'd take Neil on a heartbeat btw.
