Feel sorry for YT on weekends like this. All the grief sent to the social media accounts, by people who seem to think they are speaking directly to the owners or coach. Then has to recap that match!
He couldn't run away quick enough at full time could he. Piss off schopp mate, you've got no redeeming qualities whatsoever. No personality, no tactical nous, seemingly no knowledge of the players you're paid to manage and it would appear no balls or respect for the fans either. Cheerio, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Always feel Woodrow can challenge more for the ball, but the big issue was Benson and Styles inability to compete for the second ball. No idea why neither Palmer or Gomes were brought on at half time. In Woodrow’s defence, he’s the only player, bar maybe Helik that will even make an attempt to score a goal. Look at that snap shot from a tight angle that he had. Not a soul trying to get in the middle of the box for a potential tap in.
Didn't even applaud the just shy of 3k who came and watched that dire stuff. Just let the players go over and get stick while he ran down the tunnel. No connection to the fans, takes no responsibility, no personality on borrowed time for me sooner he goes the better and I'm sure some of the players must be feeling the same.
Yesterday was a first for me, after five years. The press box at the ground is smack in the middle of what is now the away end at Blackpool. So when the fans’ frustrations were boiling over, we were sitting ducks. Drunk men shouting and swearing at us, one trying to grab a laptop, it wasn’t pleasant. But I don’t blame the fans really. They see folk they assume are connected to the club and lash out. And we are all old and ugly enough to shrug it off. I blame Blackpool for their setup in this instance. The only club I’ve visited where press and media are forced to sit in an away end. Three years ago this wasn’t the case. Our fans were behind the net. But don’t feel sorry for me buddy. I get paid when all is said and done. I hope we have a better week ahead though!
Felt sorry for you guys yesterday. What an odd set up with absolutely no protection from the crowd etc. I know we haven’t always seen eye to eye on here but would never dream of ever giving any of you guys any grief. Was talking to the stewards in the corner bar before the game sounds like they had trouble with Sunderland fans in that corner next to the home bar and people ended up fighting out on that balcony which is why I think they have moved the fans. The whole setup for so many away fans was very poorly setup and thought out.
If we'd played well then the mood would have been different, so you take the rough with the smooth. You have to in this game, because it swings from one to the other so frequently. And as bad as it can be on days like yesterday, I've also had days like Blackpool at home in 2019 with fans mobbing us on the pitch celebrating. Just poor from the host club to create such a situation.
With respect YTB you’re wrong. No club employee should have to put up with that ****. It’s not “taking the rough with the smooth’ it’s just dicks who should grow up or stop drinking if they can’t handle it. Embarrassing.
