If we were ever in such a position.
Well we were in the playoffs in may so how well has our promotion push been supported on the back of that?

    Manager: worse than last year

    Goalkeeper: no change

    Defence: worse than last year

    Midfield: worse than last year

    Attack: worse than last year

And even going one stage further, off field activities and matchday experience: worse than last year available for comparison

I honestly don't think we've strengthened in ANY position at all. Not on the pitch, not off it. Just my opinion of course

How exactly has this been allowed to happen when we were in the playoffs less than 10 games ago?

    We have been promoted.
Trouble is we've had to be relegated to achieve it. But remember it's all part of the plan.

Which is perfectly fine of course but that begs two questions for me. 1. How does we pay what we can afford fit in with him promising to back any chance of promotion? League position doesn't give us more money so surely they would already be backing us to the maximum available regardless of if it's to avoid relegation or capitalise on a promotion push. And 2. If we operate a system of buying cheap and selling high then how can the squad get weaker? Surely you have a bigger budget to play with each time
