Must be different in different areas of ponty - cos it was really loud for us yesterday, couldn’t speak to the person next to you whilst it was on
Yeah we are right at the back of the ponty and it was way too loud we couldn't actually talk to each other while he was doing the scores. Same at the end of the game we were waiting for the masses to clear as where we sit we have no chance of getting out quick and it was painfully loud. If only we had some sort of screen that could display the scores, maybe even have the score of the game and time elapsed displayed on it.
East upper, 3 rows from back, near half way line, was really loud.. painfully loud in parts. And he never announced half time draw.
I never take my phone. Oakwell is probably the only place I'm phone-free. The last thing I'd want is a call from the missus, five minutes into the game, just to let me know the house is on fire.
Was a bit loud though. We go with a mate who has hearing sensitivity and it was a bit painful. Used to not be able to hear anything which was rubbish but surely there’s a middle ground.
I’ve no doubt - as people have attested to on here. Was mainly referring to the bit about scores being read out
https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2021/august/coventry-update/ Unless I have missed it we haven't been updated to be kept in the loop. We knew it wasn't going to be around for the first two home games but it's all gone quiet since.
Or gone into labour. For my eldest ( no mobile phones then) She phoned the social club. (But I'd already left to go into the game) To try get a message they were inducing labour, ( she was in hospital from a few days earlier due to toxemia) luckily for me It didn't work. I didn't get to the hospital till after the game and he was born by caesarean next morning.
