The capitol police bill got through the house by 1 vote BTW .

 

I have no idea about any of that and vaguely recognise her name but my point was just that a rich person saying tax the rich isn’t hypocritical like it seemed like dreamboy was implying. They’re the best people to say it as it’s them who it would affect. We need as many rich people to say it as possible, disparaging them for it is more likely for them to just say sod it and agree to be selfish.

I mean this vote. It's actually quite astounding how much power the progressive left has in the house but of course they won't use it and fall into line and do as Nancy says . Kudos to AOC for her virtue signalling though . Her Twitter followers will love it .

 

Fair enough. I assume she voted present because she supported some elements of support presented in the Bill after the riots and couldn't justify voting either way. As the later vote shows it's not as if she completely abandoned principles regarding the matter

 

As long as they pay the appropriate amount of tax I don't mind, it's the tax dodgers like Hamilton etc that don't that I detest.
