This came up on my FB memories from 4 years ago. I paid £42 to see the Sheffield derby. No idea what Wednesday would charge now if they still had a derby. I was fortunate. It was an exciting game. 4-2 to the blades but £42
There's a nice symmetry there... £42 and 4-2. Plus, as an added bonus, it's the answer to The Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
Just as a one off Stephen. Big derby with a feisty atmosphere. I’m not a ground hopper although I have friends who are. But picking certain games to attend is enough for me.
My Dad used to go to Elland Road in the seventies when he thought Leeds would get beat and to see Tottenham.
Just been to Elland Road once. About 8 years ago. A friendly Leeds v Dundee United. Again it was nice visiting a new ground.
I'm confused. When did you attend a big derby? I see you attended a division two match between the pigs and the blunts but I've not seen anything about a big derby.
I once attended Bramell Lane for a game v Barnsley. I was in the home end so couldn’t shout too much support.
Well you could've, it's not like anyone would have understood a word you were saying with that accent anyway
I went to the Boxing Day Derby in 1979 in front of over 49,000 fans. Cracking atmosphere which the Fowls won 4-0 and still sing about 40 odd years later. If you're a football fan, these type of matches are worth going to.
Well, you get about 8 chances per year. Scottish teams play each other about once a month don't they. Miss one? - nae bother, another one'll be along soon.
