    May have been posted already, apols if it has. Interesting to read that Cavani has the number 7 shirt, and apparently "Premier League rules prevent a mid-season swap except in the most extreme circumstances". I wonder what that does to his CR7 brand? Be interesting to see if the PL class this as 'most extreme circumstances'...

    He’ll get it. Apparently Cavani likes 21, that will soon to be vacated by Dan James leaving.

    Must not be a rule in the FL as Cauley Woodrow changed mid-season iirc. Although he also went from loan to perm at the same time.

    I think it is an EFL ruling, too. Tom Bradshaw was officially our number 9 at the start of that campaign, then involved in a similar transfer to Cauley. When both deals were completed in the January, Cauley was able to wear the number 9.

    You can apply to the League for a mid-season change apparently.

    I agree with the above, it will have been baked into his contract along with a LinkedIn Business account and a salary review after his 3-month probation. And a corporate mobile.

    Can't this season now Cavani came on as sub at the weekend. Martin Tyler made a point of bringing it up when he came on. If he had been unused sub so still not made an appearance this season it could have been changed.
