    STS won't stay fit long enough. If he does though Kane could be his handbrake like Hourihane was.

    Unfortunately not every signing we make is going to come off that’s just how football works i would rather we get shut now and bring someone in who Schopp will actually play.

    My worry about Kane is it can't be a fitness issue or it would have been a short loan so just how bad is Herbie Kane in training that he hasn't even made the matchday squad at all when we've been including and playing extra defenders due to a shortage of midfielders.

    I’m not a fan of his, certainly not yet - he’s done little or nothing in a reds shirt.

    But it is a strange bit of business to send out on loan for a whole season when we are already short of central midfield options. We already needed at least one signing in that position, now you’d think we could do with two. And a left back.

    Looks like he can play but frankly he’s looked lazy/unfit and we can’t afford any passengers. Maybe he’ll buck his ideas up like Mowatt did or maybe he’ll slide into lower league obscurity- it’s up to him now.

    I'm sure we must have at least one deal for a midfielder signed and sealed. It would be lunacy to further weaken your most threadbare part of the squad without a replacement approved.
