    And now they are going to work on his fitness till after international break, surely they should have been working on that since he came, I think that is what our head coach gave as a reason they had'nt been picked, they weren't match fit. Us reds fans do get told some fairy tales

    I might have this wrong but surely if he hadnt a visa he wasnt allowed to go to work in Barnsley so I guess he hasnt been training with the team. If the visa only came through in the last couple of days I can fully see why he wont be ready yet

    He hasn’t been able to train at the club, because he didn’t have a visa. The two things are directly related.

    Not really, why isn't he fit? Has had access to, I presume world class training equipment and nutrition programme. I get that he's not going to play for 90 minutes but none at all??

    I would imagine that because of his profession using any training facilities or equipment would Be in breach of his visa application process just as much as a professional driver getting behind a wheel for seaside visits would .
    Possibly outdoor running would be as much as he could do whilst waiting is my guess .

    Not so sure with it being his profession, maybe a personalised membership but I’m sure there’s strict restrictions on movement and facilities whilst awaiting visas , it’s like your not a citizen yet , however all my knowledge is from years ago so maybe things have altered .

    Of course he's not match fit. His Visa issues prevented him from training at the club. Fit and match fit are completely different. Looking forward to seeing him after the break

    Hes got his visa, it will get 3 pages on here, the other thread where he hasn't got his visa is probably still going on 8 pages plus.
