MARKUS SCHOPP'S QPR REACTION Interviews The boss was left frustrated by a 'naive' performance at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Continue reading on the official site...
It's refreshing to know the only person as gutted as me who ant been watching through red tinted specs is the gaffer.
Only way for him to find out how they can manage games is in real match time. Same for us. I didn't have any expectations from today's game, and disappointed not to win, but if I'd been offered that 1st half performance and 2-2 draw before the start I'd have gladly accepted it.
I have faith in our new Head Coach. He's currently managing a challenging situation very competently. Seems calm, not one to panic. The quality of our football in the first half yesterday was as good as I've seen in my 60+ years watching our team. CW seemed to agree, having said its the best we've played in his time here. If Marcus is given the time he needs to continue developing this group of players, assessing their strengths and finding the most effective system, it looks to me that we have a bright young guy in charge. An attacking philosophy with a hungry set of young players who have a good season and championship experience behind them augers well. We won't win every week of course and there will be ups and downs, but, as always, as fans we need to be patient and keep things in perspective.
You weren't on your own believe me. Most were. That I spoke to. Made even worse by the fact I still haven't seen us win at QPR. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Great performance 1st half. Offside opener for QPR. Austin not sent off for an horrendous tackle. (Much clearer on quest) studs up. And retrospective ban for head butt at boro.
Think it was Chair with the red card challenge and it really should’ve been red. To rub salt in the wound he then gets an assist for the equaliser.
Fair enough. (thought it said Austin on quest.) Looked bad at the game and much worse on TV. Definitely a sending off. I was scared Styles might get himself another booking. Definitely took one for the team with that tackle.
I thought it was a sending off tackle. The commentator seemed to think a yellow was fair cos he kept his feet on the ground as he slid in.
Think one of our players needs to be crippled to consider a red card being given. Weirdly our softest of touch challenges usually warrant a high proportion of yellows.
I agree with your frustration, but the QPR fans put tremendous pressure on a very young Barnsley side, which reinforces an old head amongst them. Also I beleive QPR as collected more points coming back from behind than any other Champuonship team.
