    He needs to establish himself in that team. As he racks up the caps it will be to his and our benefit. The opposition may not be the greatest (well, apart from England) but any international experience can only be good for his development. Will be wonderful if we keep him at least for this season. Then the £20million PLUS offers should start rolling in.

    Bugger! I hate it when we have players 'away in international duty'. You never know what state they will come back in - and he is one player we really can't afford to lose.

    Chuffed for Michal. But 3 games in 6 days on top of the championship treadmill? I hope he doesn’t play all 3 as we can’t afford to lose him to injury!

    Easily our best player. A solid, consistent defender, who can play a bit too. The definition of a Rolls Royce of a defender.

    Neither do I to be fair. He was clearly at the bottom of the pecking order for the Euro’s. One of the first choice defenders got injured and someone else came on.

    That said I’ve no idea if there’s been any retirements, new coaches, change of selection policy etc.

    Either way these triple headers are a joke. Although that could be me being indifferent to international footy (knock out stages of big tournaments aside).
