With all apparent finger pointing at our 'behaviour' and card count I'm suprised no-one has. I'd like to see the incident again. The one early on where Brad ended up finishing with a triple salco with a pike before finally landing.
That was an awful challenge and could have caused a bad injury. Yet again though, resulted in no card for the Coventry player.
Yeah i commented earlier in the ‘punishment’ thread. The fouls first half from Cov were more injury threatening than any tackles seen second half. if the refs job is to protect the players and administer the laws of the game fairly then he failed miserably
It was a dangerous challenge deserving of a caution, but Collins was quite lucky he missed when he lunged at him to retaliate.
I commented at the time in the Match day thread and mentioned that even in Rugby that challenge would have got at least a yellow card. It was stupidly reckless and could have caused a serious injury to Collins. I’ve no idea how anyone can think that not worthy of a yellow and give the 8 he did to us
Yes, although not usually the ‘done thing’, I wouldn’t be against the club putting together a highlight reel of every time a Coventry player smashed one of ours yesterday and the ref ‘didn’t see’ it or did nothing about it. Then release it on the clubs official channels and tag in both the EFL and the referees managers.
Whoops! I thought Collins made a dogs breakfast of collecting the cross and their player simply challenged for the ball. Collins then did a Tom Daly, got up and lunged at their player. I thought the Ref was going to send him off. He can’t have seen it. Which just about sums up his overall performance.
My view from the ponty meant that I couldn't really see the Coventry player, as he was behind Brad so I was surprised at Collins' reaction. I'll have to look at the full match replay to see what happened.
