Lovely day at North Marine Road for the first Royal London game.....

Yorkshire really struggling with ten players missing to play in the 100 and Surrey are giving Stoneman a game....

Most counties will be struggling, it’s more or less a second XI tournament now

Bonkers that Amla is playing in this.

I was half tempted to go but didn’t fancy sitting on a backless wooden bench, in hot sun, for the whole day. I’ve never seen a match at that ground so wasn’t sure where non members would be able to sit. Looking at that team it was probably the right decision not to go

It can be merciless at Scarborough in this type of weather. I have suffered there a few times.
    There is no escape.
Do you remember the pub opposite, the Cricketer. Why was it pulled down and flats built?

Why should county teams be punished for this new franchise?

Turning the one day game into the cricket equivalent of the Johnstones Paint Trophy.

We don't have the old campaigners to do anything in this competition. It's good that we are blooding the young 'uns but you'd expect Stoneman and Amla to knock off pretty much any score our total XI could set.

Yes, the ground is in a hollow bowl and is a proper sun trap. Remember watching Yorkshire v Middlesex on the day of Charlie & Di’s wedding in 1981. It was red hot then too.
Think Cricketer pub got pulled down as it got very little trade when there was no cricket on. Must be 15 years or more now since it got demolished.

Used to stay at Ramleh down by the ground until it changed hands. Cricketer was a good pub but relied on Cricket and full guest houses. The town centre is only a five minute walk away and has to this day cheaper and smarter venues to drink at, so it will have been tough. Pictures don't do justice to how smart what's on that land now looks in person.....

165 all-out Alma should be able to knock them off with the bat handle.

Once stopped in a lodge that backed onto the ground. We could get onto the roof and watched Sir Geoffrey and Richard Lumb destroy a team in a limited overs Sunday game. Red hot then too.

Sat in the sun at the seaside watching cricket and the legend Hashim Amla sounds like heaven to me . The sun can shine as much as it wants and burn my baldy head. Im happy as a pig in ****.
