And everyone was fit what would your team be

    Walton
    Anderson Helik Sibbick
    Brittain Kane Styles JWilliams
    Morris Woodrow Odour

    That would be mine

I think Odour could be useful on Left of a front 3. He seems more attacking than defensive

Swap Jordan for Ben. Really impressed with Jordan but he’s not a left wingback. I’d have no issues with either keeper getting the nod, we are blessed with 2 good uns.

Think I agree with this - left wing back the only talking point imo. The rest pick themselves.

Yeah agree with that. That's the only position I had to think about really. Oduor, either Williams, Styles - all valid options. Styles there and Kane in the middle I'd say is a valid option also.

Why kitching and not Sibbick? He's not really played for us yet where's we know Sibbick has stepped up.

Fair question, I just think Kitching is going to be the main choice going forward. I could see either being chosen though to be honest.

I actually think the season is likely to start with Helik, Sibbick and Kitching while Mads is injured, so we'll be able to see

No idea at the moment simply because the manager's tactics and formation are a relative unknown. Some players may ultimately be a better fit than others but as things stand fans can't judge properly

Not sure how Cole fits in yet. But I’d go along with your selection. But Chaplin for ODUOR.

    Odour stinks. :)

Something a little different. I'll be surprised if we start the season playing 3-4-3 and I don't think this will be the team but it would be my team with the current personnel assuming everyone is fit.

    Walton
    J Williams - Anderson - Helik - Kitching
    Palmer - Styles
    Chaplin - Woodrow - Odour
    Morris

Why? From what I've seen from the teamsheets that seems to be what he's been playing pre-season, no?

Unless I've misunderstood them which is of course always a possibility.

It's based on nothing other than a hunch :)

In both friendlies we've played 3-4-3 but I think he's done that for continuity purposes. I personally feel he'll try out other formations before the season starts and we'll go with one of those.

Hmm maybe. Seems weird to try and keep 'continuity' in friendlies though to me. Other than I guess trying to see players in a system they're familiar with so he can assess them. That seems unlikely to me though, surely if he knows he's got a new system he'd have implemented it from friendly 1 and used the friendlies as a way to bed it in and see how players do in his preferred system?

Can't see us playing a formation too dissimilar to what Ismael played, unless we're expecting a lot of transfer activity. We're top heavy on centre halfs and strikers, and lacking depth in the middle of the park, and natural wingers.

    Nope - I'm a bad man ;)

Seriously, Brittain is a good player and the best right wing back in the club but if we're playing with a flat back four then J Williams edges it for me.
