    It would be great to see a good crowd at Sheerian on Tuesday evening for the game between Athersley and a Barnsley XI.

    Fiver to get in for adults and I'm sure the club needs the money after the last year and a bit.

    Any idea what a 'Barnsley XI' normally means for a game like this? Currently down for AFC Wakefield vs. Donny on Tuesday night - who are being scandalous and charging a tenner by the way.

    Think it's usually the kids and any trialists. Last time I went to this fixture we had sesi d'elmeida (?) playing on trial.

    Usually u23s. Season before last was quite a lot of triallists. There was a decent crowd as well, £2 a can, and on that occasion, 8 goals. Elliot Simoes looked like Lionel Messi that night.
