The club has appointed replacements for Valerien Ismael & Dane Murphy very quickly. Which says to me they were already looking well before news of Valerien & Dane's departures entered the public domain.
Looks like his responsibility has mainly been scouting in those regions. Interesting CV, wonder if there'll be links with CFG considering we're basically a poundland version of what they've got.
It appears once Dane and Val made there intensions known the board have acted fairly quickly to the situation. Both were unknown to the supporters and were castigated in some quarters.Lets hope the replacements are as good or better.
Maybe the club gets that many pelters from folk on social media they like to announce a swift appointment before formally announcing a departure.
Welcome aboard Khaled lad, not bothered abart what thas done elsewhere just what tha does for us in the future.
Welcome Khaled, looking forward to seeing how you take the club forward, especially the first team and the academy.
Which is good because he'll be dealing with what happens on paper and trying to turn it into a reality .
Not sure why people demand statements from the club every time someone leaves , contractual components obviously play a part but we all know Dane has gone & now the club have announced & welcomed his replacement , thats good enough for me, its the here & now that matters , what has gone has gone & we move on , well done to the club for such a swift reaction ..
We announced the departure of Mowatt. We announced the departure of Sollbauer. We announced we'd loaned out a number of our youngsters to Denmark. We announced Ismael had gone to WBA. We later announced the departure of Murray and some other back room staff. We haven't officially announced that Murphy has either been asked to leave, or has left of his own accord. We have announced his successor though. It didn't even have to be lengthy. It could have been in the intro of the announcement saying we'd appointed someone. It's just a factual transaction of information. If we can't expect to be informed of the departure of someone who is the most common administrative link with the supporters who is expected to do regular media rounds and keep us informed.... then what can we expect? Should we be told of player comings and goings? When Schopp leaves, is that any of our business either? I've never seen a complete omission of a key departure at executive level. I've seen some things brushed under carpets once or twice, but there have been serious issues at play. Announcing someone has left really isn't a big deal. Whatever someone's personal feelings on the matter, they should be professional enough to be able to announce it and wish them well.
The only reason I can imagine we are awaiting to announce he's gone is that there is some wrangling around compensation, confidentiality clauses, tapping up etc. Perhaps we're waiting to give the whole story before putting out a short statement that just fuels the fire of speculation.
Doesn't announcing a successor to a position that hasn't been announced that it has become available fuel fires of speculation? The rumour has been in the public domain for what, 3-4 weeks now? I don't expect them to tell me if their is contractual wrangling, that's between them. That he hasn't been announced at Forest yet suggests there is something going on. Whether reasonable or petty. But it's really not out of the ordinary to acknowledge someone has actually left in order to have to announce someone has been appointed.
