Maybe Miller has reverted back to his Barnsley Cafu, RWB position, a la pre-season 20/21.

First team regulars Andersen, Halme, Helik, Kane, Frieser & Adeboyejo not included in either line up today. I wonder how many will get a run out against Wednesday?

The Bradford Cafu. I'm getting deja vu here!

First half was very one-sided, we played out from the back at all times, the hosts struggled to get the ball off us. It was the same shape as last season. Kitching’s left foot diagonal switches was about the only time we went direct. It was all one-touch stuff, neat and tidy and very impressive when Morris, Woodrow and Styles were linking together and both wing-backs bombing on.

Terrific headed goals. Cauley was outstanding and only mistake was not scoring just before the break when it looked nailed on.

We looked like we could have stepped it up at any time. Very comfortable. Styles did the Mowatt job very well. Moon impressed in defence too.

Second half was much more even, as Dale introduced McShane, Done and McNulty and we had a very young side out with lots of players out of position.
Pache, Wolfe and Sraha central defence. Miller RWB and Ben LWB. Simoes and Ritzy centre mids. Thompson, Cole and Oduor the forwards.

Dale got a bit of a nothing penalty to score, and we should have had one soon after when Ben was fouled. He looked very good considering the time he’s been out. Clarkey and Elliot looked ridiculously good at times with their skills etc, but the end product and composure was lacking for everyone second half. Arguably could have been 2-2 with a late scramble cleared off the line by Pache.

Good run out. Much more ‘football’ played than we often saw last season. Highlights to come on ifollow when we get home.

Thx Whitey. I'm sure it was a productive first match. Bigger tests to come, like the massives.
