But does anyone know who has been made club captain, after Alex Mowatt's departure? For me, the obvious appointee would be either Cauley Woodrow, or Michal Sollbauer. Are there any other realistic possibilities? However, it's also possible that an incoming transfer might have been already ear marked for the job.
I don’t think anyone knows yet. New manager will still be getting to know the lads. & there’s nobody left to advise him. Helik would get my vote, if I had one..
Nobody's left to advise Markus? Have Joseph Laumann, Tonda Eckert, Kevin Pilkington & Martin Devaney left, too?
As well as being a good player, who the rest of the squad can respect for what they add to the team, surely they should be a reasonable communicator and bright enough to interpret the manager’s instructions and update them during the game, if circumstances change? That’s tricky for us to judge isn’t it, without really knowing much about them? But I would guess at Sollbauer, Woodrow or Helik (if his English is good enough). Or maybe Morris.
Styles for me would be a good option if only for the fact it will increase his sale value when we sell him..........what....what have I said now ....lol
Agree with all that. Just to add an obvious one, the captain also needs to be someone who is expected to start every game. First name on the team sheet kind of player. My usual preference would be an outfield player, either a centre mid or a centreback, but I'm wondering if Brad Collins might be in with a shout?
It's even worse than that. The only ones left are Whitey, Beth, Vikki and the "Half time draw, parnd a go" man. The spine of the club, though, so nothing to worry about.
Thanks, mate. I was away, so missed this. It's a bit daft of me to think this wouldn't have been discussed.
