Would anyone take him? 26 years old. Scored 34 goals for Cambridge last season and has left them today after turning down a new deal His goals last season
Some excellent goals in there. Composure, confidence. Suspect there will be a few willing to take a punt to see if he can do it at a higher level. I'd rather wait and see what the new coach wants to do. If he favours one up top, I'm not sure I'd want to bring in yet another forward until we've reduced our existing numbers.
Up and down scoring record over his career but certainly seems to have hit form last season 32 in 46, certainly worth a look, i suppose it depends on the type of tactics the new gaffer wants to adopt and whether we have any departures, certainly isn,t the Dike type..
No. I don’t think he’d be that good. Also, if he didn’t score in a couple of games our fans would be writing him off.
I thought he was older than that. I'm not sure he's got what it takes to be a Championship striker but good in League's 1and 2. Though as I always say, I know nothing about football.
Unless we’re paying him off, I don’t think he is. https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2019/january/miller-signs/
Seem him live a few times for Tranmere. Didn’t look anything special. So we probably should sign him.
Probably not tbh. As I suspect there will be a lot of interest in him from clubs willing to offer more money. Also it's a risky one given he's not super young (not that old either tho) but he's only ever had one good season. Before last season he was a steady single digit striker at L2 level. Last season he managed to hit over 30 with two very good creative mids behind him (Wes Hoolahan as one) which allowed him a lot of chances and he seemed to take a lot of those
To put things into perspective at the time Non-League Salford paid better wages than SPL Aberdeen when they signed Rooney.
