The only 3-3 cup game I can think of is the previous seasons match against Stoke at their place, we were 3-1 up at half time. Fantastic game, loads of reds fans didn't get in until half time as there were only 2 turnstiles open for 5000 spectators.
My first ever away game ;-) Martyn Moxon was stood a few feet to the side of me. You can shove yer pink panthers.....
He did. After the match he made the mistake of popping his head through the door of our supporters bus. Needless to say he got dogs' abuse from everyone on it. That bus was a story in itself. Organised by some Wath-upon-Dearne supporters' club, it was tiny, absolutely ancient, and in very dubious working order. Every gear change sounded like the internal workings of vehicle were going to drop out onto the highway, and the door had a life of its own, which meant that picking up and dropping off passengers was a huge challenge. Not only that, it suddenly started opening and closing of its own accord while doing 60 on the M1! @Chef Tyke and I were sitting next to it, which was nice. We were only little kids at the time but I remember it as if it was yesterday. My dad must have been bricking it.
I recall cursing Hignett for the last goal. Went chasing glory when he just needed to run it into the corner
