Phishing emails... "payment from your account" ....

    "Greetings, I have to share bad news, etc."
    I've been getting loads of these into my email from unknown senders giving me the usual tosh of wanting me to pay money to stop them showing "things" to my friends and family.
    They are inventing different email addresses based on my proper one and they are just clogging up my inbox.
    I simply delete them.
    Have you encountered this and if so how did you sort it out? Any special software or fixes to my email?

    I get plenty of these by email and text. I just delete them. Not sure if there is any way to actually stop them though.
