An England player. One of the best 11 players in the country. And his corner was no better (and I'd argue considerably worse) than I used to take when I was in the school team when I was 11 years old. I've seen Mowatt take 30 corners this last season where he put them directly under the bar, time after time after time. We scored from a few, we had a few disallowed, and he even scored directly on one occasion. How can someone not be able to take a decent corner and play for his national side and be the designated corner taker? Footballers are the most over paid, useless, inferior human beings I could possibly imagine. It's sickening that these people are considered heroes.
I said the same about corners and set pieces when we played Scotland. You'd think we were playing with a canon ball, unable to get it past the first man.
George Hampstead in old 3rd and 4th divisions could deliver more good deliveries from set pieces than some of these superstars . Lots more
Scored direct from a corner in the 67/68 promotion season did George and consistently dropped the ball on Winnie’s head
