I had tickets for a virtual recoding of Mock The Week yesterday (goes out on Thursday at 10pm). The editors job is so hard - I knew things filmed for a long time, but this was filming for nearly three hours for 27/8 minutes of content. I'd assumed, even with re-takes it would be a lot less than that. For reference, guests were Angela Barns, Hugh Dennis, Milton Jones, Ed Byrne, Masie Adam and one guy whose name escapes me who was making his debut. EDIT: Kae Kurd
I haven,t really seen much of Rosie jones but most disabled comedians pretty much base their entire act around their disabilities, i remember the guy with cerebal polsy on bgt doing the same, it gets very tiresome..
Most comedians talk about their life experiences and what they know, so not sure I get the sentiment.
That's my point I suppose. Most people talk about their life experience, so a disabled person often talks of their disabilities.
For someone to have a career as a comedian*, they must actually be funny at least some of the time, to at least some of the people. Some go through good spells and bad spells, some appear, then disappear. Its all subjective though. *Jim Davidson and Lee Hurst can't be classed as comedians. They were never funny.
Any Elis James and John Robins fans on here? Best comedy duo on earth. I’ve been in their vibe train since near enough day one.
You have a very strange way of writing sometimes dreamboy3000 who is from Huddersfield and supports barnsley football club in the English football league championship division.
Quickly Kevin was excellent. Been listening to it for a while but going off it a bit now. Says a lot that El and John have been going for not far off ten years now and I still love them universally.
