I’m really struggling today after having the Moderna yesterday but Will’s feeling fine. I’ve had to give taking Whitney for a free run a miss (normally my favourite activity) as each step jangles my arm and makes me cry out.

He has been sending me some nice pics to cheer me up though!

was it your 1st or 2nd jab. I had a few minor symptoms and a fairly aching arm at the injection site with the 1st, but it cleared after a day or two. Had the 2nd a week ago, no symptoms but the arm ached very slightly for a few days.

It’s my first. Which one did you have? I’ve heard the second Moderna is worse so I’m bricking it! I do already have a cold though so my body may not be appreciating having to fight two things at once.

I had the aztra zeneca, so did my wife. No real side effects as such.I think when you come to get your second that you will not suffer anyside effects as the 1st jab will have established anti-bodies.....but if any they will be really minor. I am led to believe that it takes a week or so for the vaccine to get to work with your immune system, do not worry you will be fine.

My wrist felt sprained after both AZ jabs. I had 12 hour flu-like symptoms with the first and nauseous for a couple of hours after the second.

Had the moderna one about 6 weeks ago (1st jab), the only side effect was an aching arm. Bit odd but I can still feel it now when I stretch to put a coat or jacket on. Not sure if I’ve slept on it at a funny angle or something and maybe have some kind of mild muscle strain, but seems a coincidence it’s been like that since the jab.

My first jab felt like someone had given me a massive pot arm, and it ached like chuff for 3 days.

2nd jab, absolutely nothing, which made no sense to me at all

I didn’t feel a thing with the Az jab- wasn’t convinced they’d even done it!
However 4 hours later I was really sick - I didn’t make it to my Sister in Law’s funeral.
Next one in three weeks. Hopefully less of a reaction.

I guess I'm lucky. I've had both my vaccinations (Astra Zeneca) and had absolutely zero ill effects. Some times my annual flu jab can leave my arm a bit tender in the vaccination spot but with the AZ covid jab I haven't even felt that (syringe itself was the smallest I've seen). Hopefully this is the case for many others.

I had no ill effects from my two jabs. My wife & daughter both suffered from sore arms on each occasions.
Thank you for posting such lovely photos.

I felt like my arm had been hit several times with a hammer after my first jab, the Astra-Zeneca one.

The lady administering it must have thought she was trying to dart an elephant.

And, even though I've had the virus, the vaccine put me in bed for the weekend.

Apparently, the second one is even worse.

Hopefully you’ll be fine and it’s just a coincidence for me. The only other person I know who had the moderna jab just had the achy arm for a day or two and has been perfectly ok since.

I resisted doing this for months after I should have had my first one but finally relented a couple of weeks ago. The Knaresborough centre were using the Pfizer vaccine and I dutifully lined up for mine, fearing the worst.

Well - I didn't feel a thing (did they actually do it, because I never look at people near me with needles ). I didn't feel anything later, or the next day or the next day. Zero effects for me. I'm probably going to have the second one in mid-June because I've an overseas trip planned for the end of the month so let's see if I get the same result.

I wish I didn’t feel a thing, it was the most painful vaccine I’ve ever had! I was extremely tense and did flinch during though so that might be why. Will was really relaxed but he said it hurt a surprising amount during too and nothing bothers him.
