    Fantastic, saw them live at Stadium MK a couple of years ago and have tickets for gig at Ricoh Stadium that’s been put back (twice) because of Covid till June 2022. Always said no band could ever top Pink Floyd live but they were very close..

    Maybe not the most diverse musical band, but the live shows are something else. Flamethrowers, fireworks, giant phalluses, good times :)

    IIRC they had the fake bodily fluids, but not the masks. They have some really, really good songs - Du Hast ("You Have"), Ohne Dich ("Without You"), Keine Lust ("Do not feel like"), but a lot are quite similar - they are good at what they do, but don't wander too far outside their lane (and their singer was very nearly an Olympic swimmer - he was in the squad for Moscow, but was injured)

    Oomph! are similar and also worth a listen for anyone that likes Rammstein.

    Yep, you read right.

    They used to wear massive prosthetic nobs that they use to spray the crowd with fake blood and jizz. Not a gig to go to if you wanted to go out for a meal afterwards!

    That stage show looked absolutely brilliant. Although it might have benefited more was it done at night. But fantastic all the same.

    On a different note Ian. I went to see Bowie at Wembley stadium during the Glass spider tour. This great big Glass spider engulfing/hovering the stage. With lighting. Was the middle of June if I remember rightly. The longest days. Didn’t get dark till gone well past 11pm. Concert finished around 10 pm. Biggest damp squib of a lighting extravaganza you’ve ever seen.
    Not a massive Bowie fan. Missus was.
    Best thing was the support act. Big Country.

    Yes I'm mainly a prog fan, but I like bits and pieces of other stuff and Rammstein are very very good. People think they are just another thrashy rock band, but some of their melodies are very classical music influenced. I particularly like Mutter and Engel. They also prove the theory that music doesn't have to have good (or understandable in this case) lyrics to be enjoyed. I don't have a clue what they are singing about (as most of their lyrics are in German), but I like them all the same. Marc Bolan also proved this point - the words to his songs were just rubbish, like the poetry I was writing when I was about seven. It didn't stop him having massive sellers.
