Not heard any angst and anger from presenters unless you’ve got a different station from me ? Just Steven getting backs up trying to justify ref not giving a foul. There’s no justification whatsoever if he’s justifying ref there them he’s justifying Willard in Prem as far as I’m concerned . A fouls a foul whether it’s for or against us .
Steven’s call was bizarre, even by his usual mad-as-cheese standards. Some of the Rotherham fans have gone a bit ott though
Rotherham fans are taking their frustration out of that one decision which is stifling their view tbh. The reason Rotherham lost was because they couldn’t put easy chances away . We’ve all been there but citing the one incident is clouding the real reason they’ll probably go down .
There have been some clowns on tonight - from us and Rotherham. That said, best called was the Donny fan who said how great it was to listen to, and that we're not talking about VAR.
I would say the reason they lost is that a very poor decision went against them. The match should have ended 0-0 as we shouldn't have been awarded that goal. You could certainly argue that, once that decision was made, the reason they failed to get a draw or a victory from the game was their profligate finishing, but the goal that decided the result shouldn't have been awarded. Rotherham were much the better side. Does that mean they deserved to win? Actually, no. They didn't have a goal ruled out controversially, they simply failed to score. If you fail to score you don't deserve a victory, no matter how well you play. But they didn't deserve to lose as the only goal we scored really shouldn't have counted. However, the reason they may well get relegated is the same reason we have been relegated from this division: plenty of good play but unable to convert chances. That's the bigger picture.
For Rotherham fans, see Wigan fans last season. They're angry and need something to lash out at, so yet again, it'll be us to blame if they're relegated.
All ifs and buts, if that goal had been disallowed, I believe we would’ve played better because it affected us more than it did them. They deserved to lose because they couldn’t score. It’s not a new phenomenon, sides lose games because they don’t score goals, and the other side do. They had the chances to make our goal insignificant, they’re fault, move on
And the Wednesday fan (I think) who said Rotherham shouldn't be in The Championship anyway as they were promoted by default with 9 games to go ( when they were on a bad run and might not even have made the play-offs, let alone automatic promotion).
It was a foul but Morris went for the ball no intent to hurt there man at all. We had a perfectly good goal v reading chalked off v reading because the keeper jumped on the floor and wasn't touched. Get over it its still in rotherhams hands to stay up.
I get what you’re saying but the ball went in the back of the net what happened after was out of our control . Rotherham never gave the ref a decision to make regarding whether a goal is given or not but he could have given them a penalty but he didn’t because he didn’t go down . We should have drawn against Wendy but the ref ruled it was a foul ,no sympathy from Wendy fans and we moved on . If you don’t score theres a very big chance you’ll lose the game . We did what we had to do and the rest wasn’t our call ,
They shut down just about every reds fan who phoned up about Morgan with well the ref didn't see it as a red well the ref the man in charge didn't see it as a foul on Saturday but yet the presenter still tried to insinuate that Morris deliberately elbowed the Keeper.
Weve had our fair share of bad decisions this year. They need to get over it. They had a hat full of chances to make up for it. Tough look. On we go
They didn’t shut down every reds fan on the Morgan incident just the ones that were making serious allegations that they would have lost their licence if broadcast . Tempers were running high with the Morgan case from reds fans but they may have stopped getting some of us prosecuted me included if I’d got what I wanted to say on the subject at the time . The presenter said times many on Saturday and tonight that the Morris challenge wasn’t intentional so I don’t know where you heard that .
