Speculating that Spurs could be playing in the ESL one week and, following their relegation in 2022, be playing teams like Barnsley or Millwall the next.
There is no relegation in the ESL that’s the point . So to take on board what this means is if they were to be relegated from prem they’d play all the good stocked up players they don’t play in an ESL game . Ludicrous .
Why should the EFL take the ESL clubs if the PL don't want them? At the moment 3 clubs are relegated and 3 promoted following a season's competitive football. The only other way in is by promotion from the Conference National to L2. I'd be disappointed if the EFL didn't show solidarity with the PL. If FC United of Manchester had to start in the Northern Counties league it should be a fit enough introduction to the pyramid for Manchester United if the PL expel them.
