Another hammer blow for the aviation and associated industries. https://news.sky.com/story/jet2-sus...rtainty-over-government-travel-plans-12270156
I love Jet 2 - brilliant company, but the fewer planes and airlines flying, the better. That industry needs a huge overhaul if it’s to have any future.
Won't start back up untill other countries sort there covid situations out and vaccination programme. Last I heard germany and Spain were having another wave most of jet 2s flight paths are European so not surprising.
Indeed it's not and I wasn't trying to assign blame to anyone in particular. Just so much sympathy with all those whose jobs are at risk or already gone.
I could live with vaccination passports for air travel, but I can't imagine doing it while testing is required. Too much uncertainty. I don't know how many people will feel the same.
Agreed the extra cost is bad enough but then if you test positive it could become a expensive nightmare.
Probably stating the obvious but don’t think buying a cheap flight and jetting off at little notice will ever return
Plays in to the green agenda governments around the world are working together on. Less flights means less pollution. It's made worse when you have like Football teams flying to away games in the same country.
