I thought it was an odd substitution to be honest. Woodrow, Dike and Morris were linking up pretty well, don't think he really needed to make a change
I don't like our chances in a shootout in the play offs having seen our second and third choice takers.
I presume by that you think that DK would have complied with a Woodrow request for the ball because if it had come down to a wrestle for it I wouldn’t have fancied Cauley’s chances. Be interesting to see if DK starts on Saturday. May be he’s in the naughty corner
Various quotes from interviews after the match suggest it was Mowatt in the naughty corner, not Dike. Sounded like Mowatt offered him the pen.
Think Mowatt will be getting more of the blame as the older, more experienced captain but I'm sure it's all done and dusted now and no one is in the naughty corner!.
Oh good. I haven’t had the chance to read any of the post match comments just yet so it seems all is good from that stand point
Mowatt mossed a penalty at Fratton Park whilst on loan to Oxford. He got goaded by one of the Pompey lads, reacted, threw a punch (I think) and was as promptly given a red card. It must have been televised by Sky.
To be honest, I think he's only designated penalty taker because he's captain. Surprised he's still on direct free kicks. Scored against QPR, but that was his first for 2 years!
