Sorry if already posted yesterday, but it looks like safe standing is getting closer. City are now installing the rail seats.

Would you want us to add safe standing space at Oakwell?

I'd love to see the ponty turned into safe standing. Especially if we rebuilt the west stand to make it useable again.

Can you remember the APT in the late seventies and eighties. It never entered service in spite of changes to infrastructure. I can see lot's off clubs losing money on a White Elephant here.

Would love it but with the strict no holds barred rule that the seating areas are for just that and no standing tolerated .

Lower West stand. Should be getting on with it.

You don't have to stand if yo don't want to - plenty of flasks and tartan blankets in the Ponty.

Absolutely 100% in favour, as said above, West stand lower and the corner between that and the Ponty would be fantastic.

Absolutely. The atmosphere never recovered after going all seater apart from the occasional really big game.

If there’s a safe way to introduce it then 100% yes! Make the tickets cheaper and hopefully entice more fans in, win win.

I'd convert the corner at the top of the Ponty near the corner stand so the stewards life is easier :D

Just on the point of cost...

Would it be any cheaper than a seat? It's going to cost money to replace existing seating, so there is a capital cost for a club there. Can you get extra fans in with this new standing compared to existing seating?

I'm not sure how the new form of allocated standing will be much different in cost than what we see now.
