Yep, still 5 points above 7th place 12 games unbeaten run at an end, but often it does the team good to come down to earth, and regain the focus from then on.
We didn’t get going until it was too late did we? There is one thing that really frustrated me today, and that’s our lumping the ball to their centre backs when it clearly wasn’t working, but it’s our style and it helps win us games, so I’m not going to make a fuss. It was just another scrap, but we didn’t win this one.
Our tactics are not going to work every time. They've worked often enough so far, so nobody should be complaining. Playoffs would be dreamland - if we don't get there then we have shocked this league anyway by what we've done.
Too many high hopeful balls punted forward for me. It's so frustrating watching it. Need to play it on the floor more often, build up that way., retaining possession. Having said that, if the goal had come 10 mins earlier we may have squeezed a draw. Overall a flat performance, and the run had to end sometime. But against these!!
I think we’ll get there. Not done yet by a long chalk. Today was a one off for me. We are far better and more resourceful than we showed today.
