Yes, I was being facetious. Definitely better pressure this season. In fact, for me, no pressure as wherever we finish (shouldn’t be below 9th) I’ll be incredibly pleased with the team.
Takes the pressure off Dane and the board too. They can identify targets for the Championship or Premiership. I know that seems like stating the obvious but it's better bartering for players with that assurance you're Championship minimum.
Should help with keeping most players as well. Some players will hopefully have more confidence in holding out for a Prem deal, rather than thinking they can progress at mid table Champ teams, which should drive up prices.
