    Forgot they'd got Shane long. We'll have to be on our guard on Saturday with our high line. At one point he was one of the best strikers in the premier league at getting in behind the defence.

    Just shows that some people have more money than sense. I suppose it’s possible that all that money came from the trough that all premier league teams have their snouts in. Previous manager Eddie Howe probably thought the hell with it, it’s not my money.

    This kind of financial obscenity makes me wonder if we really want a part of it. Those players must be on astronomical contracts so I hope they stay down and slowly go bankrupt.

    Who is to say that if we ever got there any time soon that this board would change its philosophy completely and live life like the film Brewster's Millions?

    Still believe they would keep their feet on the ground and be sensible.

    That solanke is good they remind me of wigan when whelan was bankrolling them and if there not careful they could end up like them.

    I’d be more concerned about potential buyers than that happening tbh,
    If they took the club to where they wanted it and sold it on I just hope it’s someone sensible and not a Hong Kong investment consortium.

    Just to put Bournemouth’s finances in comparison to ours. These numbers are from their last filed accounts to June 2019.

    Bournemouth
    Turnover £131m
    Salaries £111m
    Loss £32m

    A loan to the parent company of £110m also sits in the accounts, almost Wednesday like.

    Barnsley
    Turnover £8m
    Salaries £8.1m
    Loss £3.4m

    Quite a stark difference in the two clubs.
