I agree totally, we were never gonna get promoted tonight so it's a point gained and lots more twists and turns to come before owts sorted.

Yeah. I was far happier when Altrincham were fůcking us every which way, to give one very obvious example. Ismael out!

Let's all compare our pick for the worst game this season shall we?

There seem to be quite a few to pick from.

Despite our winning a lot of them.

Worse than the early season Struber pass sideways to hang on for a draw from the first five minutes fests? The ones where Ritz was our best hope of something happening?

The last time I saw it that windy my sister had necked an entire pan of sloppy peas. In fact I wouldn't be surprised to learn she was standing in the car park somewhere between the Ponty and East Stand. It would explain why Jozwiak kept keeling over.

I don't think the OP is wrong is he?

He isn't saying we're rubbish. He isn't saying our players are garbage. He isn't saying Val is useless. He's just saying we weren't very good last night. He's just saying it was a terrible game - which it was. Of course there's mitigating circumstances with the pitch and the weather.

Its not the worst I've ever seen (bit of hyperbole there), but it was a tough watch.

It's the hyperbole people were reacting to. It was a crap game, but a run of the mill crap game the likes of which we've all seen dozens of times before. Depending on your age maybe even hundreds. There were no dreadful performances by individual players but on the whole defences were on top. Tends to happen when it's windy. Their passes over the top in an attempt to beat the high line were over hit and went through to Collins and our crosses were over hit and went through to their keeper, both either blown by the wind or with too much on them to try to compensate for the wind in their faces.

I've seen many appalling games over the years, but this will be filed with all those instantly forgettable matches where two teams cancel one another out and don't make any glaring errors.

It would take you longer than 5 minutes to explain it to me.

The title did. But yes, not a great match by any stretch of the imagination.

It’s hyperbole in terms of how bad it was and also completely underselling how bad the conditions were.

Yep, sh11t game but the typical over analysis and negative over reaction by a minority is predictable.

We are doing ace. Can’t wait for Saturday.

Worst game I've ever seen? Difficult to say with any accuracy, I tend not to remember the bad ones, though I know there have been many over the years. Last night's would probably make it into my top ten. If only I could remember the other nine...

Atrocious conditions, but if we can't switch to a style that's less vertical in weather like that, then we never will. Not sure that's a good thing.

All in all, I'll take the point. Derby fans would have every right to think they should have taken all three.

I think the responses are enough, it wasn't even the worst game last night.
