This lad is so good I assumed he was semi regular player at Norwich, just held back by injury...didn't realise he only played one game for them back in 2015, and only 8 championship appearances on loan at Rotherham before he joined us. Bloody good bit of scouting as far as I can see.
The game played out to his strengths when he came on today and we got a little showcase of his close control and skill in holding it up. A signing typical of our successes in that he's off the radar but fits in to what we're trying to do very neatly. Let's have more Morris's and fewer Schmidt's!!
I've completely forgiven Schmidt after his contributions in the last couple of weeks of last season lol. Not a reyt laiker, but I'll let him off
Carlton is proper testimony to how our club has used our recruitment system to unearth some real diamonds....... Collins. Brittain. Anderson. Helik. Styles. Dike. etc.....
If he isn't coming on to score, he is coming on to set up a goal. Hopefully Norwich don't have a sell on clause.
Apparently Jordan Hugill cost Norwich 5 million and we paid 300k for Morris....i know who I’d rather have in our team .
He has played 11 games for us many of them 45 minute spells, 4 goals 2 assists and a real handful who can play abit. Great find.
Some on their fans' forum have been mentioning this already, and how they don't think they got the better end of that deal.
One of the most technically gifted footballers I think I've seen at Oakwell. When he's got the ball at his feet, it sticks to him. I fancied us to sign him when we got relegated last time. He'd just had a season at Shrewsbury, where he'd helped them to the play off final. Their fans were raving about him. Although I think he did get a serious injury in the play off final.
