Those aged 56 and over can now book their jabs. We’ve just done ours. See what happens when you let the NHS crack on with something important and not hand it over to your mates’ private companies....
You're actually supporting that it is a bit random. 56+ when we already had 60+ means a block of 4 years, where following it up by 50+ adds a block of 6 years. So if they consistently did 5 year blocks, you would've expected 55 and over to be the next group to be called in.
In my experience the people in the NHS are hard working and caring. But the way some of it is run is shocking. Ultimately this is goes back to the shambles of governments we have elected.
Thanks - Booked mine now - first one in a weeks time which is better than I was expecting - though annoyingly got to go to Basingstoke to get it especially as I know they are doing them in Farnham but it didnt give me a date at all - closest I could get was Guildford but 2 weeks away. Thanks @Micky Finn for the heads up - I thought you had to wait for your Doctor to contact you but obviously not
On that basis, I am hopeful that, at 51, 52 this month, they will reach me within a week or so. It's only been on the 60+ group for around 10 days. Ideally I want mine within 2 weeks so i will have had my second before i am due to go on holiday, but it will be tight.
Many thanks @Micky Finn Booked the wife in for next week. Looks like Wakefield had availability one week earlier than Sheffield.
Are you waiting for the letter Ian.? If so. Just go online and book. Were taking 64 and above over a week ago online. Got my letter several days after I'd booked and had it.
Might have to Hooky. I’ll see to it next week if I hear nothing. But the new Labour leader was on tv last week saying that vaccine supplies which come from England have been slow to be delivered so might just be a case of waiting
