"I can't see us winning this. They are absolutely flying. Tykes 2 Flops 0 I'll go Morris FGS." "For me mowatt should of been our number 1 target for cm in the summer." "Can't see a win against these. 2-0 Barnsley." "Team that press high up the pitch with loads of energy will cause us problems resulting in loads of hoof ball and a defeat unfortunately" "2-0 Barnsley" "2-0 defeat" "3-1 defeat.Really cannot see us getting anything against a very well drilled, athletic team but hey ho, you never know" "I'd take a draw, 1-1 Bela." Sounds like their style might suit us.
Similar comments to the Blackburn fans. **** me, we could be in Europe in a couple of years until the teams in the country suss out the way to play against us
I feel like I'm being greedy after 6 on the spin, but I really want to see us hammer someone. I don't care who. Just put 4 past someone without return. Preferably these purely on the grounds they're next
We’ve ridden our luck a few time during this winning run, but at some point it will turn against us. At home to struggling Birmingham seems like an easy win, but i see it as a potential banana skin. Let’s hope the lads don’t let complacency creep in.
If we were sixth I'd strongly agree in stead of just agreeing. However, us being in seventh gives it a different complexion. We should be busting a gut tomorrow (not that we don't anyway) to get into the top six.
Over the last couple of seasons several top 8 teams have viewed us as their next win, seeing as were always around the bottom 3 or 4 in the table. We then turned the form book upside down as we scrapped for every point and pulled off some unlikely victories Let's hope we aren't a victim ourselves on Saturday, and Mr Roberts doesn't punish us from a corner!
Have we really ridden our luck? Sides will create chances against us, you rarely see a side go 90 mins without a chance. But I’m not sure of any of the 6 we didn’t deserve to win? That said, the run has to end somewhere and it could easily be against a side battling for their lives
This. I joke with my lad that we are usually unbelievable for 19 mins until a game evens out a bit. The other night I think we started flat and could conceivably have been 2 down after 10 mins. I wonder how we would have reacted to that? The luck will run out one day, as will the run itself, either through fluke or the opponent being actually better than us on the day. i just hope it isn't Birmingham who end the run. As I've mentioned a couple of times, Robbo couldn't get near their side whilst they were on a losing run; now he is back they are not only winning, but he is scoring and assisting. Hoping for a good day tomorrow and a quiet one for Marc R.
I think it would be demoralising if it happened tomorrow after good wins against better teams. This is where you've done the Donkey work and it's time to cash in. I don't mean to sound disrespectful to Birmingham but that's the way it is.
I really dislike Birmingham City. Their fans are nasty and self-entitled. I'd love to paste them, but would take a crap 1-0 if offered right now. Winning runs have to end at some point, just hope it's not Saturday.
Bookies have us odds on to win which never seems right, especially at this level. The other night I was on us at 3/1 to score in both halves, but tomorrow with Bet 365 it's only 12/5.
Totally agree. It's a game which on paper we should win, but how often does that actually happen in this division? Exactly the sort of fixture where we'll pass up a dozen chances and they'll fluke one in off Scott Hogan's arse. Obviously hope I'm wrong and we thrash em.
