Roy's made them a net profit last two seasons and mid table Premiership finishes yet fans want him out. Could they end up with same sexy football Ipswich got?

I live with a big Crystal Palace fan and so I’ve watched a tonne of their games and to be honest if they don’t have a huge change soon it won’t matter who they’ve got in charge or how much profit they make they’ll go down. Without Zaha they are one of the most boring teams to watch I’ve ever seen and half there team is just about ready to retire. They won’t extend Roy’s contract past this summer but they need a massive clear out and to appoint someone who’ll keep them in the Prem while they sort out their academy, it’s a bit of tough one for them.

Would they come hunting for Big Val, I wonder. An ex Palace player remember!

Ten members of their first team squad are over the age of 30.

    Roy Hodgson is 73.

Wouldn't be a popular appointment, widely regarded as their worst ever player.

Could be worth them taking that gamble.

I can't imagine all those older players using the press like we do, they'd all be knackered and on zimmer frames before half time!

When we were promoted to the prem I came through one of the London stations after the playoffs, their fans were singing they were going to Barnsley, irony in the South! Have they been there ever since? Certainly not the rollercoaster we’ve been on. Perhaps their fans are bored.

Weird club Palace. Never seem to establish themselves in the premier league longer than a few years despite having a great academy & a potentially massive fan base been one of the only clubs in South London.

If I was Roy I’d retire but I think he’s in love with the game that much he’ll keep going until he physically can’t

I like Roy Hodgson he’s one of the better older English managers .
I think he should take a back seat though now and maybe promoted to Director of football .
I think he’d excel in that role with his knowledge and contacts .
