Not sure if I've missed this but is the sweeper keeper tactic new or did Brad just have to do more of it yesterday - and he did it very well, I thought? My concern is always our vulnerability to the ball over the top of our highline given the lack of pace at the back but I felt assured yesterday that Collins minimised that risk well. I'd like to see more of this, although it does mean that GK has to be 100% attentive.
I had to smile when I saw that one of the posters on the OTIB board wrote: "Bloody hell ! The heat map must show their goalkeeper with a bigger area than the entire BCFC team"
Think it was just yesterday to nullify Bristols speedy forwards still frightened me to death at times
It`s the kicking part when under pressure that worries me, remember the one against Stoke where he found Clucas and he netted from 30-40 yds out that cost us the game that day imo.
I think he was a bit too eager yesterday but thinking it through and reading their pre match coaches reports of what they needed to do against us I reckon it was intentional to have Collins more alert yesterday to the balls over the top and behind us, still allowing that high line of our back 3,5 or as per yesterday 2.
