"Their first matchup back in September was a 6-0 battering in the League Cup, which included a hattrick by Kai Havertz, but this was under the previous coach Gerhard Struber, and this embarrassment played its part in his eventual dismissal."

Complete bóllócks - I need read none of the tactical stuff after that.

I'm a self-confessed geek. I quite enjoyed that, didn't agree with all of it, but interesting.

Quite a lot of words for explaining that Val had only been here a short time when we got mullered. Since then he's imposed his style, standards and ethos on the entire squad. Result, a team that knows when to press and when to choke opposition of field position and remove options. We are extremely fit but we know how to conserve energy, and when to do it. Pin teams inside they're own 18 yard box and deep down field close to the touchline. This gives everyone a breather and allows us to form up again. Then bang we're off again in ur face!

Totally disagree we lack quality. How much football we play at the moment is another question, but many of the same players have proven themselves more than capable of ground-based possession football. It's just not this manager's cup of tea. It will be interested to see what Val does if and (much more likely) when the tactics inevitably get sussed.
