I agree. I thinks it's glaringly obvious that two of the front three that started on Sunday won us the game tonight. Val's problem not mine
I said 14th at the start of the season. So that certainly seems like it needs a rethink too. I try not to get giddy looking at the table but we have some good fixtures upcoming. Top 10 definitely on the cards, if not something better!
He’s a right laiker. Still think he sounds like a cross between characters from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Saved By The Bell though!

Starting to look an excellent signing. If anything, he could probably be a bit greedier, teed players up a couple of times when he could’ve gone for goal himself. But great to see a forward get hold of the ball, turn and get forward.
It’s early days for him & Dee Dee, but they both look the part. & come across as bright, enthusiastic young lads. Val has definitely got the head start on the 5 subs thing. Like no other manager, I’ve noticed. Total poker face, for now. They’ll see it coming & counter us. The ideal of a settled 11 starters is a thing of the past. It’s working for us. Everyone is getting game time, resting & feeling valued. I’d like to see Jack in goal this Saturday, see if he’s chilled his wreckless boots?
Morris is more suited playing off Dike than Woodrow just because of the physical presence Dike brings taking up the central defenders to allow Morris more space.
So which strategy? Is it better we start them and try and win the game in the first half then rotate and hold on second half or as last night see what we can do first half then strongest side second half? I think we are now starting to see who our strongest side is.
Think the last few games show that the idea of “strongest side” is redundant for now. It’s a squad game and VI is playing it very cleverly.
Listening to Val and his comments that our bench will win the game i think he sees to truely as a squad game. He seems to see the substitutions as proactive, game changing moments rather than the rescue last throw of the dice or protect a lead like we saw with some managers. So when we say best team - i guess its a case of how we finish not always how we start.
I think he's being quite clever, should be no sulking at being on the bench the way he's using the subs and starting a different team each game.
