Where it all came together last season! Well, at Griffin Park anyway. Every team we seem to play at the minute are in the top two. After 2 games against top of the league Norwich, we now face, top of the league Brentford. Brentford have won 4 straight league games, scoring an obscene 17 goals. They're also unbeaten in the league since October, a run spanning 21 matches. At home, they've lost just once in the league all season (2-4 vs Preston) meaning they've only lost once at home in the league since our last visit. If we're looking at positives, we're unbeaten in our last 3 visits to Brentford, and have only lost in 2 of our 7 visits there this century. Our last 3 wins at Brentford have come whilst wearing blue shirts however, and it's likely we'll be wearing yellow tomorrow.... So make of that what you will. Being the optimistic that I am, Brentford's run has to end some time. Considering our decent recent away record there (albeit at Griffin Park), I'm going for a 2-1 win, with Styles and Dike on the scoresheet.
We've got a good record away at Brentford, they have to lose sometime, and we're playing pretty well without quite getting the rub. Fancy us to win 2-1.
It's a big ask, after the energy our lads spent on Thursday. Difficult to see us pressing with that level of intensity, which may favour Brentford. An optimistic 1-1.
