    Transfer spend isn't "profit". It just means we've received more in transfer fees than what we have spent on players which I think we all knew was the case.

    I never said the club has made a profit - it may or may not have.

    'Net spend' is common parlance for 'transfer money in minus transfer money out'.

    It's like turnover. I earn 18000 a year but like a bet. I can probably get 2 or 3 thousand back over the year. I spend loads on grocery shopping. If you add it all together it might be quite high but my bank balance doesn't get any better. It's false economy used by people who are skint to make them sound richer.
