Going on holiday is Illegal Its too early to say if Holidays are cancelled this year no one should be booking them Matt Hancock https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ml?ito=push-notification&ci=76195&si=25041557
Can’t possibly see why we can’t book a UK holiday for this summer. Everyone over the age of 50 will have had their vaccine along with all the vulnerable. Just who are we expecting to have to protect at that point.....????
I’ve got 2 booked this year, one to Ibiza in July which was moved from last year and one to Zante in sept, we booked it because flights were cheap, took a chance just in case summer holidays are announced and flight prices go through the roof, if not we’ll just get a refund or voucher.
Cant understand all moaning over holiday situation.Just go and book if you want to and if situation is still same im sure there will be stipulations where you can get a refund or voucher.Probably a bit more messing about if your going abroad but after all when you book an holiday months in advance, god forbid but anything could happen.Suppose its just another thing to moan about.
The government said vaccines were a way out of this pandemic and to now threaten the public in early February and say we might not be able to go on holiday in the summer is a disgrace.
We went on holiday last summer without vaccines. It's scaremongering because they don't want people to get complacent and ruin the vaccine roll out by seeing an increase in cases.
To stop people getting away this summer especially in this country would be the final straw for most folk and anarchy will rule if they don’t watch out.
I have to say the government is being given an easy ride by the press and media. It's slowly turning into a dictatorship, albeit administered by clowns. Just announcing one thing after another, no scrutiny, just fire away with decree after decree, possibly turning it down a bit if the public grumbling is too loud.
I think there's a lot that won't change even with the vaccine and death toll down to nye on zero. I think masks are here to stay in Public places and transport.
Can't see why folk want to fk about doing it tbh.who knows where you will be able to visit so its pot luck and you are committing money for nowt. If I'm honest why anybody would want to go abroad yet is beyond me why risk a very possible serious illness miles from home with very limited means ( if any) of getting back and at the same time putting your family through god knows what. Even in the UK the area you pick at this time of year might be off limits come holiday time later in the year, maybe regional lockdown etc. Some areas last year that folk went on they were resented by locals who knew many would be p1llocks from Covid hotspots. We definitely hope we will be able to get away somewhere this year but just waiting until the position becomes clearer.
Who knows Helen. I work for the NHS but even I'm questioning lockdown now because we're more than meeting our quota of sick, elderly and vulnerable with the vaccine and health care staff. Mid Yorkshire have suspended vaccination until March because they've got through staff remarkably quickly.
A mountain out of a mole hill blown out of proportion by the media, we,re not children, if we believe that the restrictions will be lifted by summer, book a holiday you may get a bargain, if your not confident in restrictions being lifted leave it until next year, not rocket science, a non story really...
The whole thing form the start. If the correct measures had been taken there wouldn't have been as many deaths and no need for lockdowns and the carnage. It's been done to death.
