He gave a very good interview for 20 minutes, seems very happy with life and I can’t wait to see him play.

I hope he’s named in the squad for Saturday. A start maybe too soon for him but I’m sure he’ll get on the pitch at some point. Be great if we’re already 3-0 up and he comes on and smashes another one in from long range!

He comes across really well, and sounds like a level-headed guy, with his ambitions, and career outlook.

Interestingly, both his older brother and sister were capped for Nigeria, with the latter playing in 2015 World Cup, and he's already made his USNMT debut.

I hope he gets on the field tomorrow. I'm looking forward to his debut.

If he starts banging them in he will be having drinks bought for him in the Garrison before he knows it.

He's just flown in from Orlando. He'll need time to warm up before kickoff. ;)

He seems like a really good kid.

He’ll have my full support whilst ever he’s here.

I’m buzzing to see him play.

Me too! So wish we could be there on Saturday. (As an aside I so miss my pre match Brew Dog Punk in the Fanzone with my mates.:()

Just watched the interview in full and he comes across as level headed, articulate, keen, bright and most of all, genuine. Loved the fact that he spoke about the club as a family and his observations on community. Whatever happens with the lad, I hope we can look back on his acquisition with positive memories. Massive move for him and we need to make sure we look after him. If he doesn't make the grade over the next few months, he will still be able to look back on this time as an experience which should stand him in good stead for his future.

Unlike a few on here, I love the USA, have American friends, and I admire their positivity and their "can do" attitude (a generalisation I know) and DD seems to embody all of those American traits.

I'm dreaming now, but how good would it be for him to score the winner against Chelski, live on national TV? Talk about talk of the town.

With the hype the club have given him, you watch Cauley score a hat trick on Saturday. All three made by DK.

Just watched it, seems like a smart kid.
But there were loads of ‘job interview answers’.

Most footballers aren’t that smart though and are given the ‘new signing script’ by the club media team, which usually just come out as statements on Twitter, quotes in the program etc.

My only concern is that he was clearly on the radar, but wasn’t ‘available’ till Sunday, so how much genuine consideration went into the decision to bring him in?

I imagine a lot, but from a “if this is possible we need to do it” perspective. They will have been tracking him for a while but knew that he had to make his International debut for it to happen. As soon as he did they jumped on it.

Friend of mine went on a scholarship to America for Football back in the 90’s, he says they did what would be described as media training now back then. Would imagine it’s even more now.
What I gleaned from the interview was he came across as someone who comes from a close knit family and that is important to him, which can be good for him.
In terms of how much thought, I would imagine the decisions was made that they would want him if he passed International clearance and probably got a heads up via Orlando that he was gonna play.

Is he available for selection tomorrow? Visa sorted, injury free etc?
