He was a real contradiction. He came from a small village near Belfast and was a family man and a devout Catholic. He used to join my family to go to Mass on a Sunday with his daughter and his wife who was my Mums sister who were both born in Doncaster. We always thought his behaviour was strange re- he would leave the room if the National Anthem came on TV or he would get out of his chair and turn the set off. He didn't have a birth certificate so no one knew how old he was. My aunt once told us of the time they went to the village where he was born in Ireland and he refused to enter it preferring to look down on it from a hillside above. It was if he was scared of being recognised. He had a large burn mark at the side of his face and his attire for church was to wear a brown Mac with a black triangle on an upper sleeve, brown brogues, black leather gloves and a black beret. Another male relative from Derry commented that what he wore was the standard attire for a member of the IRA although we never had any proof and he never spoke about it.
I think the issue could be that the number of idiots far outweigh the police time available to pursue and then get a case to convict...
Really scary how someone can post utter lies and put you in a very dangerous situation. Now making me think twice about posting pictures on Facebook.
Well if hes been framed thats bang out of order. he could come out say hes been framed, stick a poppy on and tell the person who's done it that not all Celtic fans are the same and give his condolences to sir captain tom Moore's family and soldier's alike, Celtic fc should follow suit aswell.
I thought my wife's dad was Irish as when I first picked her up , he said your not going out with that biggorah, he was English just very cruel
Vile comment, should have is collar removed, unless of course capt Tom said the money is only for white patients ( which he didn't btw)
Most trouble in the world stems from religious bigotry. I’d ban the lot. Fighting over fictitious gods. Thank god I’m an atheist. See what I did there?
apparently its a joseph kelly from rutherglen ( glasgow ?) his organisation is SAOR ALBA and supports the snp. its amazing the contacts that old squaddies have still got
Yeah Rutherglen is a suburb of Glasgow. Saor Alba is Gaelic I think for Free Scotland. Still a very disturbing post.
Don't do Twitter but could this be a Rangers fan? & is there any way to track the person down? Either way it's disgusting & sad.
I think so Helen but not really sure. I might have it set to friends only. Never had any problems previously but this story is a worry of what people can do. Might even photoshop me in a Dundee top. Now that would be an absolute disaster.
