We’re playing against a team desperately out of form? What could possibly go wrong with this scenario?!
Weren’t they going through a slightly sticky patch last season before turning up at Oakwell where we obliged by giving up 3 points? Think the next league games against Cardiff, Forest and Derby will give us a good idea of where the team is in relation to the league. I would hope for anything from 4-7 points from those fixtures as things currently stand, but wouldn’t be totally surprised if we garner less.
I'd say yes to that if we try and be quick out of the traps. I'm hoping our shyness in front of goal was more to do with playing the top three. That said we struggled against Forest in the home game and didn't create anything away against Cardiff City. Derby are a different beast now. The Cardiff game will be key. If we win that one we'll win all three.
Yet they still beat Bournemouth. Will be a difficult game, their results have definitely improved since Cocu went.
Three things I hate to hear or read in the lead up to a game... "They're in terrible form" "I've just read their forum, they're not confident" "[insert opposition player name] hasn't scored in [insert ridiculously high number] games" The second phrase ought to be blocked out by the swear filter on here.
