    If we lost 3-1 with our goal being an Aylott volly, yes I remember the match but not J. Barnes.

    Self and Lady Kaht saw him playing for them at Old Trafford in August 1984 (1-1 draw). That game marked the Man Utd debuts of Alan Brazil and Gordon Strachan, who equalised for United from the spot. That was in the days when you could walk up on the day at Old Trafford.

    I was there and remember Barnes playing. Not sure if it was his debut though.....

    I remember a sensational performance from Trevor Kettle for them. He played well for Stoke city against us too.

    His league debut was a month earlier against Oldham (this is definitely correct). But that was as a sub. I think he was sub for the next few games too, and his first start was against us. That's how I remember it but could be wrong.
