in all fairness he has done pretty well since he took over so its not a surprise. Hopefully its one of those where the caretaker does well until given the job full time and then the wheels come off Wonder how 32Red feel about paying his salary now he isnt playing anymore and wearing the shirt
Good point though he has only just retired today - I didnt realise until just now that he had retired when he took the job
I hope he excels as a manager, he's played under some good coaches, and as a player I thought he was a great talent.
Can't stand Derby, and all the shenanigans about his contract symbolise all that's wrong with modern football, but putting that aside, I kind of want him to do well! I didn't even like him as a player, I think I'm just impressed that he came back to go to the championship, and is looking to move into management there and doesn't seem to be doing it with any sense of ego, when he could quite easily just have continued in America raking it in for a year or two then put his feet up. I realise I might have contradicted myself a bit there, £90k/week in the championship is hardly a hard life, but that's football these days.
I'm sick of the whole Rooney love-in thing. I was saving this song for Sheff Weds, but **** it, Rooney can have it early...
Had to Google this. I'm actually more agog that you have four sons, Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass and don't spell.the last with a K. Whats that all about? Poir Colleen. Surely it would be less embarrassing for her to just say they've got an open marriage!?
